Finally, here’s another misfit image, a photo from the very north of Arctic Sweden. It was taken along highway E10, as we drove seven hours or so from Kiruna, Sweden to Svolvær, Norway. Of all the places we saw on our trip, this area felt the most isolated and stark. I can barely imagine what it must be like to spend winter in 24-hour darkness on this frozen tundra.
